The TIM2000 RS offers the flexibility of the programmable timer with all the advantages of a smart card system.

Cards can be used in addition to coins or instead of them. Theft and vandalism can be reduced by replacing coins and tokens with the smart card. Smart cards can save staff time and sessions or a series of sessions can be paid for in advance. Cash flow is improved if users pay for cards up front, and bank charges are reduced if less cash is paid in.

Programming

The cards may be programmed either by using the hand held programmer or the universal programmer which links to a serial port of a compatible IBM PC. The universal programmer offers additional features for customers operating profit share or multiple sites.

Smart Cards are charged with cash or session values with the programmer. When inserted into the timer the relevant amount is deducted and the timer activates.

The cards are rechargeable or refundable, and a signature strip allows easy user identification if required. Also the card itself can be used for advertising, generating additional revenue.

Profit share is available with both the tim2000 R. This allows a specific number or value of sessions for the timer. The number to be determined by a profit share card. When the allowed number has been reached, the timer no longer operates until a new valid profit share card has been inserted. A warning is displayed telling the operator that usage is running low.
